Oil Technics raises the firefighting foam testing standard with ISO 17025

Our firefighting foam testing laboratory has just been accredited to ISO 17025 in a first for the UK industry.

ISO 17025 sets requirements for the competence, impartiality, and consistent operation of testing and calibration laboratories. Oil Technics’ Firefighting Foam Testing laboratory is one of only two sites for offshore foam testing in the UK and is the only foam testing lab to hold ISO 17025. The company already holds ISO 9001: 2015 and ISO 14001: 2015 accreditation.

Managing director David Evans commented, "The company recently marked its 40th anniversary, so achieving ISO 17025 is just the cherry on the cake. The award reflects our dedication to innovation and constant improvement. I’m proud that the team’s efforts have been recognised in this way, given all the hard work everyone has put in.

"Achieving ISO 17025 accreditation means that our customers know that our foam testing lab works completely independently from our other divisions which manufacture fire fighting foams, environmentally friendly cleaners and degreasers for industrial and offshore use and a range of infection control products for the hospital and healthcare sector."
